There is no reliable "best solar company in the Philippines," and any list claiming otherwise is usually published by a company that appears on it.

What actually exists is a set of established firms with different specialisations, and a set of verifiable criteria you can check yourself before signing anything.
The four checks that matter most:
- DOE accreditation — verify it directly with the Department of Energy, not from the company's website.
- Who signs the plans — larger installations require a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer, and a structural engineer for roof loading.
- Who honours the warranty locally — a 25-year panel warranty is worthless if nobody in the Philippines services it.
- What the quote actually includes — LGU permits, the net metering application, and the bidirectional meter coordination are frequently excluded from cheap quotes.

Why "Top 10" lists in this industry are mostly useless
If you've searched this term already, you'll have noticed something.
The list published by Company A opens with Company A. The list published by Company B opens with Company B. The one independent-looking result is usually a lead generation site that sells your enquiry to whichever installer pays for it.
None of these are rankings. They are marketing assets wearing the costume of editorial content.
What would a real ranking require? Installation failure rates, warranty claim resolution times, verified customer satisfaction across a statistically meaningful sample, and financial stability data. No public source in the Philippines publishes this. There is no equivalent of an independent installer rating body here.
So the honest position is: use lists to build a shortlist of three to five companies serving your area, then verify each one yourself.
How to actually verify a solar installer
This section is worth more than any list.
1. Confirm DOE accreditation independently
Verify with the Department of Energy directly rather than accepting a logo on a website. Accreditation lapses, and websites don't always get updated.
2. Ask who signs the electrical plans
Larger installations require a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer to sign the plans, and a structural engineer to certify that your roof can carry the load. Ask for the names and PRC licence numbers. A company that hesitates here is telling you something.
3. Get the warranty chain in writing
Three separate warranties exist and people conflate them:
- Panel warranty — from the manufacturer, typically 12 years product and 25 years performance
- Inverter warranty — from the manufacturer, typically 5–12 years
- Workmanship warranty — from the installer, and highly variable
Ask specifically: who honours the panel warranty in the Philippines, how long does a replacement take, and what happens to your workmanship cover if the installer ceases trading. Global module manufacturing is in oversupply and some manufacturers will not survive the shakeout — the warranty is only as good as the entity behind it.
4. Demand an itemised quote
An unusually cheap quote almost always excludes something. Common omissions:
- LGU building and electrical permits
- The net metering application with your distribution utility
- The Certificate of Final Electrical Inspection process
- Structural reinforcement where needed
- Mounting rated for local wind loads
Ask for line items, not a single figure. Then compare like with like across three quotes.
5. Check the mounting specification
The most common point of failure in Philippine installations is mounting, not panels. Ask for the wind rating and how the system anchors to your roof structure. This is a typhoon corridor and it is not the place to economise.
6. Ask about hybrid-readiness even if you're buying on-grid
You can only add batteries later if the inverter was hybrid-ready from the start. It costs ₱10,000–₱15,000 at installation and many times that as a retrofit. Get the answer in writing.
7. Test their net metering knowledge
Ask what the current approval timeline is. Since DOE Department Circular DC2026-01-00012 took effect on 1 April 2026, distribution utilities have 10 working days to approve or reject a complete application, after which it may be deemed approved. An installer who doesn't know this is not tracking the regulations that govern your project.
Questions to ask on every site visit
- Are you DOE-accredited, and can I verify the reference number?
- Who is the PEE signing my plans, and what is their PRC number?
- Is this inverter hybrid-ready?
- Is the net metering application included, and who files it?
- Are LGU permits included in this price?
- What is the wind rating of the mounting system?
- Who honours the panel and inverter warranties locally?
- Can I speak to two customers you installed for more than three years ago?
That last one is the most revealing question on the list, and the one most rarely asked.
